Today and Tuesday saw the Academy football players at Bolton Wanderers come to the Athlete Development Centre for isokinetics testing. This basically looks at muscle output for their quadriceps and hamstrings at different speeds, as well as the balance between these important muscle groups, their fatigue rate and highlighting any bilateral imbalances. This allows the medical and conditioning staff to address specific player needs and personalise their training programmes to help prevent injury and assist the players development at this important time in their career.

Our in-house Sports & Spinal Injuries Clinic and Athlete Development Centre also provide our means of actual practice and teaching where we welcome anyone wishing to have their injury managed, or fitness tested, advised and monitored to the highest standards using recent and researched methods to access our facility in Bolton One.
